University Guidelines for the Enhanced Community Quarantine Extended until April 30, 2020

PLM President Emmanuel Leyco issued Office Order 2020-0408-01, the University Guidelines on the extension of the Enhanced Community Quarantine until April 30, 2020.

Enhanced Community Quarantine extended until April 30

BREAKING: The Luzon-wide Enhanced Community Quarantine is extended until April 30, 2020, according to Sec. Karlo Nograles, Inter-Agency Task Force spokesperson.

In an online press conference, Sec. Nograles announced that President Duterte approved the two-week extension recommended by the IATF to allow government to boost the number of testing centers and daily test capacity. The target is to reach between 13,000 to 20,000 tests per day by April 27.

He reiterated that the extension will buy time for the government to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 infections in the Philippines.

#PamantasanHealthBulletin No. 3: As of 4:00 PM of March 27, 2020, there are 803 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 54 deaths and 31 recoveries in the Philippines, according to the most recent case bulletin of Department of Health.

ADVISORY: In view of the enhanced community quarantine currently implemented in Luzon, adjustments to the 2019-2020 Academic Calendar shall be made once classes resume. This covers all undergraduate, graduate and professional courses and semestral and trimestral programs.

PLM MCAT advisory

MCAT ADVISORY:

1. Schedule of interviews for applicants to PLM College of Medicine for AY 2020-2021 will tentatively start on April 15, 2020 onwards (or as soon as community quarantine is lifted).

2. The period for manual sumission of documentary requirements for MCAT applications is tentatively set on April 15 to 30, 2020.

These dates are subject to change, depending on status of COVID19 related issuances on community quarantine and work suspensions.
