PLM College of Medicine now accepts applications for the MCAT 2022 

The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) College of Medicine accepts applicants for the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT).

The MCAT is a mandatory entrance exam for those who would like to pursue a medical degree at the PLM College of Medicine. It is a two-hour examination consisting of sub-tests in general information, academic evaluation, logical reasoning, and personality tests. It is administered at a test center

MCAT passers will be admitted to the PLM College of Medicine. It is a professional school committed to excellence in community-oriented medical education, training, research and service. It has repeatedly garnered a 100% passing rate in the Physician board exam. The Professional Regulation Commission named PLM College of Medicine as the top performing school in the November 2021 Physician Licensure Exam.

Who may apply?

Anyone who meets the following qualifications and possesses the desire to serve may apply:

Qualifications:

  • A natural-born Filipino citizen;
  • Complied with all academic preparations;
  • With NMAT score of 45 or higher taken within two years prior to application deadline;
  • No record of dropping from any medical school;
  • No record of denied admission in PLM College of Medicine;
  • No record of conviction of crime involving moral turpitude;
  • Must be fully vaccinated at the date of the examination; and
  • Must have no failing grade in any subject.

Lateral entrees from other medical schools will not be entertained.

Successful applicants are expected to perform excellently and hurdle the rigors in their studies at PLM.

Application process

The MCAT application process was modified and shifted online to facilitate applications despite the restrictions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Applicants must complete the process to be eligible for ranking. To apply, go to the MCAT website.

The deadline for application has been extended. Applications will be accepted until January 31, 2021, 5:00 PM. 

How to apply:

  1. Prepare the required data and documents:
    1. Applicant’s name (as shown in birth certificate and school records);
    2. Present address (house number, street, barangay, and municipality/city);
    3. Birth certificate;
    4. Official NMAT result;
    5. Official Transcript of Records (for undergraduates: Certification of Grades showing all grades up to the 1st semester of the current school year);
    6. Certificate of General Weighted Average from the Registrar/College (for undergraduates: GWA of subjects taken up to the 1st semester of the current school year);
    7. Applicant’s mobile number;
    8. Email address; and
    9. Form 137 (For undergraduates who have taken Grade 11 and Grade 12)
    10. For Manilans only: Voter's Certification of Registration with voting history
    11. Both parents' latest ITR/Certification of Employment/Copy of Contract; 
    12. Proof of capacity to pay (e.g. certification of employment); and
    13. COVID-19 vaccination card showing two (2) doses
  2. Go to the MCAT website. Accomplish the online application form and upload a scanned copy of the required documents. Documents must be in either .pdf or .jpg format.
  3. Your MCAT username and passcode will be sent to your email address. Save the login details for later.
  4. All applications will be evaluated for completeness and correctness. Applications approved by the Screening Committee will be reflected at the MCAT website.
  5. Check the status of your application by logging in at the MCAT website using the username and passcode provided to you via email.
  6. Applications can either be “Complete” or “With deficiency”. If your application status is "Complete", proceed to payment process. If the status is “With deficiency”, submit the missing or required documents.
  7. Pay the P3,500.00 application fee via the following:
    1. Land Bank of the Philippines' LinkBiz Portal

       Pay PLM fees via LandBank LinkBiz Portal 

    2. Bank deposit
           Account name: Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila
           Account number: LBP–2472 1006 56
  8. Email a photo of the bank deposit slip or receipt to PLM College of Medicine at mcat@plm.edu.ph.
  9. Once received, PLM College of Medicine will issue a Certification of Completion of Documentary Requirements, which the applicant must print by logging in to the MCAT website before the exam day.
  10. On exam day, proceed to the test center and present the following documents:
    1. Certification of Completion of Documentary Requirements
    2. Accomplished Data Privacy form
    3. Original Landbank receipt (for verification)
    4. Valid government ID and/or school ID (undergraduate course)
    5. COVID-19 vaccination card showing two (2) doses

    The test venue shall be announced at PLM's website and social media accounts.
