COVID-19 Pamantasan Health Bulletin

The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila established on March 10, 2020 the PLM COVID-19 Task Force to lead the university initiatives in helping control the spread of the corona virus.

Here are updates on the measures taken by the task force to alleviate the social and economic effects of the community quarantine to all students and employees, and mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) within the academic community.

    The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila lost three members of its community in the past two weeks. Yesterday, April 2, 2020, PLM together with Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso paid tribute to three men who brought pride and honor to the university through the exemplary lives that they lived.

    #PamantasanHealthBulletin No. 3: As of 4:00 PM of March 27, 2020, there are 803 confirmed COVID-19 cases with 54 deaths and 31 recoveries in the Philippines, according to the most recent case bulletin of Department of Health.

  • PLM to adjust 2019-2020 Academic Calendar

    ADVISORY: In view of the enhanced community quarantine currently implemented in Luzon, adjustments to the 2019-2020 Academic Calendar shall be made once classes resume. This covers all undergraduate, graduate and professional courses and semestral and trimestral programs.

  • All online classes, academic activities suspended until further notice

    As a public university that commits itself to serving public interest, PLM recognizes the need to continue providing quality and uninterrupted education to all its students during the Enhanced Community Quarantine period. Alternative learning modalities are being explored and implemented to ensure that the students meet their academic and curricular requirements within the prescribed academic period.

    The COVID-19 pandemic has brought difficult times for everybody. Reports of rapid infection rates in Metro Manila and grim prospects for a worst-case scenario have led the national government to declare the National Capital Region under a “community quarantine” with classes suspended from March 15 to April 14.
