The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila joins the City Government of Manila in commemorating the 79th anniversary of the Battle of Manila
The National Service Training Program (NSTP) students from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) attended the celebration of the 79th Anniversary of the Battle for the Liberation of Manila at the Memorare Manila, Plaza de Santa Isabel, Intramuros, Manila. The event commemorates the lives of more than a hundred thousand innocent civilians that were killed in the tragic battle between the Filipino and American Forces against the Japanese Imperial Forces towards the end of World War II.
 
The event was hosted by the City Government of Manila and was graced by the Manila City Mayor Hon. Sheila ‘Honey’ Lacuna-Pangan together with the Intramuros Administration headed by the IA Administrator Atty. Joan M. Padilla. The activity started in a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Memorare -Manila 1945 Monument, the Manila City Government, Intramuros Administration, and various Embassies of different nations and their diplomatic Corps are among those who offered wreath in the monument.

The participation of PLM students in the activity is in line with the NSTP’s mandate to promote civic consciousness among the youth and advance their involvement in socio-civic affairs by developing appreciation of the sacrifices of the past generations that lead to the independent and peaceful nation we are today.

The PLM President joined the College of Education in celebrating their Annual Pinning Ceremony for Incoming Practice Teachers held today, January 29, 9:00 a.m. at the San Andres Sports Complex, Malate, Manila. This is to officially acknowledge the practice teachers stepping into the teaching field with their passion and honed skills, aiming to influence and enlighten the future generations.
