The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila recognizes the dedication and diligence of our new lawyers, whose strong performances in the 2019 Bar examinations kept the University as among the best law schools in the country.

The University is proud to honor our alumni who took their oath as full-fledged lawyers today, June 25, 2020.

The newest PLM lawyers are Atty. Donn Joseph Abrazaldo, Atty. Jude Fayaz Ahmed, Atty. Carlo Nico Aguilana, Atty. Earvin Joelet Arias, Atty. Nikki Isabel Balanquit, Atty. Hazel Marie Bartolata, Atty. Ma. Jennifer Borbon, Atty. Mark Dungo, Atty. Ma. Theresa Faustino, Atty. Anna Kathrina Fernandez, Atty. Nastassja Nicole Flores, Atty. Janeth Hernandez, Atty. Wengie Improgo, Atty. Andrea Filipina Juarez, Atty. Rowelle Sheena Juarez, Atty. Anna Marie Pagtabunan, Atty. Irish Pineda, Atty. Karine Joy Rosario, and Atty. Enzo Emmanuel Toledo.

The PLM College of Law recorded a 61.29% passing rate for the 2019 Bar, well above the 27.36% national passing rate. Some 60% of first-time takers from PLM passed, while 63.63% of those who gave the Bar another try made it through the battery of tests held in November 2019.

“We take pride in knowing that through our law professors, who are known top experts in their fields, we are able to provide quality education for our country’s future lawyers. The strong passing rate of our graduates reflects the topnotch standards of the PLM College of Law and the able leadership of the school. During this challenging time, I am comforted by the fact that our law school has embraced its commitment to public interest as its guiding principle in educating our future lawyers,” University President Emmanuel Leyco said.

The latest set of PLM lawyers were sworn in by Supreme Court justices through video conference, in light of restrictions on mass gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 2,103 examinees passed the 2019 Bar.

PLM has managed to keep its average passing rate consistently higher than the national average in the past couple of years.
