The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila congratulates three current and former members of the College of Law faculty for securing prime government posts.
 
Long-time Judge Emily L. San Gaspar-Gito has been appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte as an associate justice of the Court of Appeals, replacing retired Justice Franchito Diamante.
 
Prior to the appointment, she was the Presiding Judge of the Manila Regional Trial Court branch 5 and counts over two decades of service in the Judiciary. Justice San Gaspar-Gito was given the Don Antonio P. Madrigal award for judicial excellence in 2012.
 
Former Faculty Regent and College of Law dean George Erwin Garcia has also been chosen to serve as commissioner at the Commission on Elections, serving a seven-year term just in time for the May 2022 elections. Atty. Garcia is a veteran election lawyer, having taken on electoral cases of various national and local candidates.
 
PLM likewise congratulates Judge Joeven Dellosa, who has been appointed to the Mandaluyong City Regional Trial Court branch 208. He used to be a judge at the Municipal Trial Court in Cities in Pampanga.
