The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila celebrates with the College of Law Student Council (PLM CLSC) for being recognized as one of the best student councils in the country.

The Association of Law Students of the Philippines bestowed the Top Student Councils Award to the CLSC during its 31st National Convention. Members of the student council for academic year 2019-2020 led by its president Diane Kimberly Mapoy were acknowledged for their “outstanding leadership to law students” and their “selfless dedication” in serving fellow aspiring lawyers.

“It has been a difficult academic year for students as the local COVID-19 outbreak began, forcing schools into a new normal of distance learning to adhere to quarantine protocols. Still, the officials of PLM CLSC managed to uphold the welfare of fellow students while keeping up with their own academic load,” PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said.

“Congratulations for the well-deserved award! May you sustain excellence and always remember to serve the public interest as you become full-fledged lawyers,” he added.

In a statement, the PLM CLSC thanked the ALSP for the commendation and acknowledged the guidance provided by Atty. Roselle SJ. Sarino and Dean George Erwin Garcia.

The PLM College of Law is among the best performing law schools in the Philippines, consistently reporting above average passing rates for graduates taking the Bar examinations.
