Students of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) who are bona fide residents of the City of Manila now have access to their monthly cash benefit of P1,000 from the city government.
PLM’s Office of the Vice President for Finance deposited the amounts covering March and April 2022 for the Social Amelioration Program (SAP) of 10,272 students on Thursday and Friday last week, and is now ready for withdrawal using students’ Landbank cash cards.
The City Government of Manila through Mayor Maria Sheilah “Honey” Lacuna–Pangan earlier signed the release of the cash aid and downloaded the funds to PLM for releasing to students.
“We are thankful to the City Government of Manila for continuing this program for our Manileño students. The P1,000 monthly aid is a huge help to their families at a time of rising prices of basic goods,” PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said.
The SAP for students is the city’s economic relief measure targeting students since the COVID-19 outbreak in the country started in 2020.
