The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) celebrates with 14 graduates of the PLM Business School for passing the certified public accountant (CPA) licensure examination. 

They are Claudette Jane Abainza, Bernadette Canapit, Eden Angela Capa, Maria Luisa Cruz, Marvic Aces Fajardo, Shaina Guevarra, Grant Freedom Layag, Audrey Kaye Marquez, John Kenneth Miranda, Kathleen Joy Reyes, Chelsea Jayne Santillan, Eastefanny Claire Tiangco, Marwin Allen Valdez, and Shania Grace Viray. 

The PLMayer CPAs form part of 1,722 passers out of 6,665 accountancy graduates who took the board examination this October. 

Congratulations to our youngest batch of licensed accountants! May you practice your profession with utmost integrity and discipline,” University President Emmanuel Leyco said. 

Five of the newly licensed accountants are first-time takers. PLM recorded a 35% passing rate in this round of exams, well above the national passing rate of 25.84%. This is yet another testament to the quality of education which PLM provides to the Filipino youth, honed by its principles of Karunungan, Kaunlaran at Kadakilaan.

The Professional Regulation Commission will announce details for the registration and oathtaking ceremony of the passers at a later date.
