PLM alumnus and award-winning screenwriter and director Roy Iglesias was inducted into the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) during its Gabi ng Parangal on December 27, 2019 at New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
Iglesias has written award-winning films, television series, and books through his career. He bagged trophies from various award-giving bodies for film and television in the country such as Gawad Urian, FAMAS Award, FAP Awards, Golden Screen Awards, and Star Awards for Movies. Over 80 screenplays are credited to Iglesias based on his IMDB profile.
MMFF is the annual national film festival held from December 25 to the first weekend of January. It seeks to promote Philippine movies.
